Augusta, GA- Elder George Young entered into rest Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Georgia Regents Medical Center. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:a.m. at United House of Prayer for all People with Apostle C. Sutton officiating. Burial will be at the United House of Prayer Cemetery, Dearing, GA. He was a native of Augusta; retired from MCG after 40 years of service; opened the Madison Cafeteria at the United House of Prayer where he served as Manager, Head Chef and Assistant Pastor for over 35 years. Survivors are 4 sisters, Sarah (David) Heath, Betty Thomas, Johnnie M. Young and Madglene Young, Augusta, GA; 5 brothers, Jasper Young, Chevy Chase, MD, Elder John (Vicki) Young, Atlanta, GA, Marion Young, Richmond, VA, Nathaniel Young, Salisbury, NC and Robert (Doris) Young, Augusta; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
