Mrs. Helen Sapp Godbee, 80, entered into rest on February 24, 2021. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Charles Goodman officiating. After thirty years of service, Mrs. Godbee retired from Augusta University Medical Center. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, Mack Godbee Jr. and son, Keith E. Godbee Sr. She leaves to cherish her memories: four devoted daughters, Sharon Godbee Cook, Gail Godbee White, Pamela Y. Godbee, Dr. Elaine Godbee Lett (Earl); a loving grandson whom she raised, Broderick D. Godbee; granddaughters, Bianca White, Jayla Lett, and Kayla Lett; grandsons, Michael Godbee, Keith Godbee Jr, and Brandeis White; sisters, Lillian Weaver, Sherrie Sapp, and Sherry McKie; daughter-in-law, Priscilla Godbee; sister-in-law, Lillie Johnson; brothers-in-law, Cornelius Godbee (Thomasina), Ellis Godbee (Annie), Sr.; great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
