Augusta , GA . - Mr. Joseph Merriweather Jr. entered into rest on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Unihealth PAC Augusta Hills. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Booker officiating and Rev. Eugene Johnson presiding. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. Mr. Merriweather was a native of Augusta and was educated in the Richmond County school system. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a very well known mechanic in the area. Survivors include his wife, Delores Merriweather, daughter, Tambra Rainey, Augusta; two sons, Jonathan Merriweather, Augusta; Nicholas Merriweather, North Carolina; three sisters, Julia (Edward) McCullar, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Harriett Brown, Ruby Garnett both of Augusta; one brother, Johnny(Barbara)Merriweather, Chesterfield, VA; two aunts, Nellie Booker, Augusta; Sally Merriweather, N.Augusta, SC; uncle, Bernard(Annie)Merriweather, Atlanta; god daughter, Felecia Ward, North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, cousins and host of other beloved relatives and friends.
