Alvetta Leshawn Kendrick, age 50, of Augusta, Georgia, transitioned peacefully on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, surrounded by the love and presence of her family. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Tabernacle Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ida R. Curry; her stepfather, Joseph Curry Sr.; and her father, Alphonso Rolland. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children: Joseph L. Walker Jr., Sedrick (Mikeviyon) Griffin Jr., and Robert S. Griffin; her precious grandchildren: Jaycelyn N. Walker and Jahmir A. Walker; her devoted sisters: Sharon (Andrea) Brown, Pearl Holmes, Albreda Rolland, Alfreda Brown, Letitia Smith, Nikita Merriweather, Farrah Curry-Williams, and Nichelle Rolland, Yalanda Merriweather; and her loving brothers: Eddie Smith Jr., Joseph Curry Jr., and Alphonso Merriweather.

Alvetta is also lovingly remembered by her cherished fur baby, Co-Co, along with a host of aunts, Estella York and Deloris Samuels, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. There will be a viewing on Friday from 1-5 p.m.
