Mrs. Brenda Joyce Ward entered into rest on Sunday, December 21, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Old Time Way Church of God in Christ at 11:00 a.m.Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, sister Linda Hollis, and brother Edward "Flickey" Davis. Brenda is lovingly remembered by her husband of 46 years, Robert Ward; three children: Leon Whack (Yolanda), Deidtre Whack-Sanchez (Jose); Robert "Spike" Ward, and five grandchildren: Cameron Whack (Sandy), Kenyatta Whack, Daniel LaRose II, Leon Whack Jr., and Brycin Whack, and two great-grandchildren: Nelly Whack and Karter Whack; Sisters: June

Andrews and Eleanor Edgecombe; Brother: Vincent Davis (Deceased-Nora); Aunt: Dorothy Gay; Brothers-in-law: Morris Ward, Nathan Ward, and Albert Ward; Sisters-in-law: Martha Johnson and Anne Ward and a host of nieces, nephews, great friends, cousins, and god-children; adopted family member, Alex Bellamy. There will be a viewing on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
