Retired Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4) Johnny Lee Powell entered into rest on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Memorial C.M.E. Church. Burial will be at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Powell was born in Louisville, Georgia to the late John Henry and Minnie Lee Powell. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Rebecca Georgia Hargrove, Corine Blount and Janie Ruth Jenkins. He is survived by his better half, Evelyn Delores Brookins Powell; his children, Eric Powell (Tonya), and Lakisha Powell Robinson; two grandchildren, Lael Brandon Powell and Ivory Brielle Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and devoted friends.  Mr. Powell may be viewed on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 1 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
