She was the youngest child born on August 9, 1953, to the union of late Robert Williams and Mary Bell Williams Stony in Augusta, Ga. She accepted Christ at an early age at Antioch Baptist Church and then later joined Good Shepherd

She was an active and influential presence within Richmond County Parks and Recreation, always seeking ways to enhance programs and strengthen community bonds. Her generosity, leadership, and heart for service made her a cornerstone of the Richmond County community. A guiding light whose legacy of giving will continue to inspire generations. Her life's work was defined by an unwavering commitment to uplifting others. As Executive Director of the CSRA Women's Empowerment organization,

she devoted herself to creating opportunities, resources, and support for women across the region. In recognition of her tireless dedication, she received distinguished award in 2008 for her outstanding efforts in the Community Outreach Program an honor that reflected only a small portion of the impact she made. Her passion for service extended far beyond her title. She led numerous food drives throughout the community, ensuring families in need were supported with compassion and dignity. Each holiday season, she spearheaded a Christmas toy drive that became a cherished tradition, bringing joy to countless children and hope to their families. She will be remembered not only for her remarkable accomplishments, but for the kindness, strength, and unwavering spirit that touched every life she encountered. She is preceded in death by her stepfather, Ernest Lee Stony, her only child, Minka Williams Brown and brother, Bryon (Marcia) Williams.
