Interment will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Artist Tyrone Johnson and Charles Amos Johnson. Survivors are his parents, Charles and Sarah Johnson; siblings, Mildred Mills, Vernell (Frank) Brooks, Charlene McNeal, Renee (Tony) Clayton, Dwight (Deborah) Johnson; sister in-law, Theresa Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces, great nephews; best friend and cousin, The Honorable Garnett Johnson.
