Mrs. Eleanor Carr entered into rest on Monday, June 15, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Greater Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Gardens. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Christine) Carr of San Francisco, California, and Edwin (Lauryn) Carr; her grandchildren, Jaleel Carr, Eniya Carr, and Ejoya Carr, all of Columbia, South Carolina; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends who held a special place in her heart.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Carr; her children, Cynthia Carr and Thomas Carr, Jr.; her parents, Enoch and Erma Knox; and her sisters, Irene Mazone, Doretha Moore, and Glendora Stanford. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the start of service.
