It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Walker, who departed this life with grace and dignity. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Fleming Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Walker Memorial Park. Elizabeth was born to Willie Walker Sr. and Lillie Walker, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Derek Jones Sr. and her brothers, Willie Walker Jr. and John Henry Walker (Nelson). Elizabeth leaves behind a loving family who cherish her memory. She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Pierre, and her son-in-law, Rodney Pierre Sr. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Walker Sr. (wife, Geneva) and her sister, Annie Atwell. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren: Tamika Lampkin (Aeyden), Derek Jones Jr. (Harmonie and Derek III), Jurice Jones (Miyah), and Courtney Lampkin. Elizabeth was also loved by her sisters-in-love, Mattie Walker and Geneva Walker, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
