Ms. Ethel Mae Jenkins entered into rest on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel. Ms. Jenkins was a graduate of Lucy Laney High School, attended Paine College and received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from University Hospital School of Nursing. She retired as a Registered Nurse from the V. A. Medical Center and was a member of Tau Gamma Delta Sorority. Preceding her in death were her son, Calvin R. Jenkins Sr. and her son-in-law, Ehrman H. Eldridge Jr., MD. Survivors are her daughter, Patricia Eldridge; brother, Ephrim Forney Jr.; sisters, Mary Ferguson, Lovie Curry, Betty Mayweather McKinney; seven grandchildren, Myleata Eldridge, Taneika R. Jenkins, Melissa (Benton) Robinson, MD, Calvin R. Jenkins Jr., LaKeisha (Andre) Wilson, Megan (Tyler) Morgan, DPT, Jasmine Jenkins; four great grandchildren, Mikayla Eldridge, Aubrei Wilson, Leyton Wilson, Cole Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
