Barfield—affectionately known as "Gwan" found rest in her home on January 6, 2026, at age 67. Evelyn lived with heart and humor. She was known for her spunky personality, her generosity, and her ability to make people laugh. She took pride in showing up for her family and helped others without hesitation.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter: Raven Sanders (Chris); two grandchildren: Khyli Rae Fane and Khyrin White (Sanders); sister: Natoshia Barfield (Hugh); aunt and godmother: Marjorie Barfield; and a host of cousins, loving relatives, and friends. Evelyn will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
