Freddie Adam Gibbs Jr. entered into rest on April 12, 2025 at Midtown Medical Facility, Nashville, TN. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. at Central Church of Christ. Mr. Gibbs was born to Freddie Adam Gibbs Sr. and Lena Mae Best on June 28, 1956 where his journey began. He attended Lucy Craft Laney High School and afterwards enlisted in United States Marine Corp Station at Camp Pendleton, San Diego, California. After his military service, he worked at SRS Savannah River Plant and Plant Vogtle as a general labor. He is preceded in death by his father, Freddie Gibbs Sr., mother, Lena Mae Shields, sister, Francis Jenkins, and son, Freddie Adam Gibbs lll. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Robert Moody; four daughters,Tilvosiet Cheatham, Lydia Gibbs, Tinikki Gibbs- Lee, and Dorale; three brothers, Milo (Linda) Shields, Danny Johnson, Ronnie Gibbs; three sisters, Patricia Ann Bennings, Cynthia Gibbs Bush, Cheryl Gibbs Smiley; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
