Mr. George Adams entered into rest on Friday, June 14, 2024. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Williams Grove Baptist Church, Waynesboro, GA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. He was born to the late Jacob Adams and Lula Boyd- Adams on June 17, 1944, in the state of Georgia and relocated to New York City at an early age. George Adams was a security officer for NY Shipping Association for over 25 years. During that time, he was also a successful entrepreneur. He ran a number of businesses as a clothing boutique owner, laundromat owner, and restaurant owner. George Adams was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Emma Adams, daughter, Julia Gray, and son Dennis Adams; brother Benjamin (Cora) Huntley, Thomas (Louise) Adams, Jacob (Alma) Adams; sister, Lizzie (Jack) Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory son, George Adams Jr.; sister, Rose White; brother, Morris Adams; brother-in-law, Johnny (Cheryl) Holmes, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
