Mrs. Georgia S. Beard, a devoted servant to her community, church, and family, peacefully transitioned on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery.  Mrs. Beard was a dedicated healthcare professional who faithfully served as a nurse's assistant at the Medical College of Georgia Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, until her retirement. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her kindness, patience, and commitment to care. A pillar of strength in her neighborhood, Mrs. Beard was an active and respected community leader in the Turpin Hill community.

Her passion for service extended to her involvement with the Brigham Senior Citizen Center, where she contributed her time and spirit to uplifting fellow seniors.

Mrs. Beard was a proud and lifelong member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lucy Laney Chapter No. 20, where she held the distinction of Life Member and served faithfully as a Past Patron. Her commitment to the organization reflected her dedication to service, sisterhood, and community uplift.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Mrs. Beard was a devoted member of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Augusta, Georgia. There, she served diligently as a stewardess on Board Number Four, lifted her voice as a member of the choir, and provided spiritual guidance as a class leader.

She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren Neiman Reshard Beard, Larry Lyndon Beard, and Derek Scott; her great-grandchildren, Briana Joi Burton, Jalen Jabari Beard, Kennedy C. Beard, Aubrey D. Beard, and Neiman Reshard Beard, Jr.; along with a loving daughter in law Linda Beard Bolton and a loving host of nieces, nephews, and their children: Claude Gilchrist and Alicia Gilchrist; Joyce (Darryl) Brown and Shaka Brown; Marcia Neely and Reginald Neely, Jr.; Phyllis F. Knightner and Brandon Knightner; and James "Sonny" Settles and Jartayvis Settles.

Mrs. Beard may be viewed on Friday May 15, 2026, from 1:00pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home
