Mrs. Georgia Gene Evans entered into rest on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Walker Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her parents, Isiah Johnson Sr. and Arthur Lee Johnson; sister, Clara Johnson; brothers, Isiah Johnson Jr., Dwight E. Johnson, and Johnny Anderson Simmons; sister-in-law, Patricia London; brother-in-law, Kenneth Thomas; and nephew, Aldric Wright. Mrs. Evans is survived by her husband, Lofton Evans; godchildren, Jennie Harris, King Serrano, and Prince Serrano; sisters, Jacqueline Johnson and Joann (Jimmy) English; brothers, Larry Johnson and Henry Johnson; brothers in-law, Veron (Vanessa) Evans, George Evans, Orange (Gwendolyn) Evans, and Donald Evans; devoted niece, Latasha Scott; nephew, Frederick Johnson, and a host of other family members and friends. Viewing will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
