Mrs. Gussie Summers entered into rest on Monday, October 19, 2026.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 1 p.m. at New Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  Interment will be Monday, November 9, 2026, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at 10:00 a.m.  Survivors are her husband, Arthur Summers, Sr.; two sons, Arthur (Jessica) Summers, Jr., Avery (Tamekia) Summers; sisters, Jeanette Purdie, Doris Lampkins; brother, Cleophus Jones; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and other relatives.
