Mrs. Gwendolyn Lewis, wife of the late Chance Lewis Jr., entered into rest on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel with entombment at Hillcrest Mausoleum. Survivors are her children, Marguerite Bennett (Kenneth), Chance Lewis III, Kathy Lewis Hawkins (Leon), Anne Lewis; sister, Julia Ross; brother, Marvin Cummings; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Hardy Lewis; sister-in-law, Carolyn Hall; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
