James A. Smith entered into rest on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at his residence. He is survived by his loving wife, Belinda Smith; three children, Kimberly (Terry) Simmons, Catrena Smith, Alicia (Jamell Woods) Smith; six grandchildren, Mark (Monique) Turner, Precious Turner, Briana Smith, Jaquan Smith, Kiara Jones and Jayden Sheffield; eight great grandchildren, Tre'von Turner, Ciana Turner, Qamar Turner, Leila Turner, Jada Turner, Mark Turner Jr., Garrio Robinson Jr. and Blaize Smith; one great, great granddaughter, Akara Turner; three brothers, Otis Smith, Leoper (Priscilla) Smith, John (Trecia) Smith; six sisters, Dora Smith, Alice Smith, Mary Woods, Doris (Donald Ray) Jackson, Elizabeth (Charles) Curry and Mable (Keith) Taylor; a cherished sister-in-law, Patricia Smith; and best friend, Andrew Robinson, also known as Moses. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
