James "Jim" Golatt was embodied with generosity and a willing to help all those who needed him. He loved his children, his church and all people with an uplifting spirit. On February 13th, he earned his wings to fly into the arms of our loving heavenly Father.  Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Rock Faith Church, 1852 Gordon Highway.

James "Jim" Golatt was born on August 29th 1943 to Willie and Agnes Golatt in Appling Georgia.

He graduated from Lucy C. Laney in 1964. After graduation, he worked for Solo Cup (Lily Cup) for over 30 years. After retirement, he was employed at Head Start in Richmond County.

He had a natural servant's heart and desire to support and serve others. Catering and feeding the homeless derived from this passion.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his children, Felicia Williams (Willie B), Keith Golatt, Darryl Kirkland, DeMario Kirkland, and Crystal Kirkland. His brothers, Willie (Huck) Golatt Jr, John Henry Golatt and Aaron Golatt. His in-laws, Charles Johnson and Indiana Della Smith. He has several grandchildren, two great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
