Mr. James "JD" Douglas Neely Sr. entered into rest on February 27, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Brown Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Neely was born in Jefferson County, GA to the late Clayton Neely Sr. and Marie Pryor Neely. Also preceding him in death were four brothers, Robert L. Neely, Clayton Neely Jr., Nathaniel Neely, Earl M. Neely and two sisters, Elouise Washington and Bobie L. Neely. He leaves to mourn his passing: daughters, Marita (Toney) Adams, Janice (Thomas) Buggs, Clara Jenkins, Carolyn (Cleveland) Mixon, Rebecca (Horace) Mack, Emma (Carl) Smith, Patricia (David) Adams; one son, James (Dawn) Neely Jr.; five sisters, Ruby L. Butler, Lillie Alice Wright (Donald), Bernice Scott, Christine Boykin (Conrad), Harriet Scott (Marvin); one brother, George B.( Hattie) Neely; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
