Mrs.  Jean Elizabeth Elam entered into rest on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Love and Cassie Love, daughter, Victoria Williams and brother, Jackie Simmons.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Johnny Elam Sr.; daughter, Chantrice (Roy) Cullum; son, Johnny (Valerie) Elam Jr.; five grandchildren, Jermaine (Erica) Ratliff Sr., Kyndal (Jordan) Deshong, Jaylon Dorsey, Evan Williams, Kaylee Brandon; four great-grandchildren, Jermaine Ratliff Jr.,Noah Deshong, Av'Yon Dorsey, Vahari Dorsey; sisters, Carolyn Lawrence, Vivian Alexander; brothers, Kenneth (Kim) Simmons, Ricky (Pam) Simmons and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. There will be a viewing on Monday from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
