Mrs. Jennie C. Green entered into rest on Friday, May 22, 2026. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Jennie Lee C. Green was born to the late Mrs. Rose Lee Corley and SFC Retired Officer August B. Corley in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 20, 1956. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. For those who truly knew her, knew she was strong, stubborn and kind. Her loyalty for those she loved was like no other. She left an impact on every place she went and every person she met. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter,  Janeiro Corley.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Joe L. Green Sr., her son, Jimmie Lee Corley, her brother, August B. Corley, her grandchildren Jurree Corley, Martavia (Tony) Slaton, Jurraa Grissett, and Jarruu Furlow, her sisters- in-law, Ollie McDonald, Johnnie Mae (Earl) Harris, Eleana McCollough, and Gaynell (Tim) Horsley, her brother-in-law Joseph (Dean) Sherrod and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Mrs. Green may be viewed Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
