Mr. John Paul Evans entered into rest on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.  Preceding him in death were his parents, Herbert and Elizabeth Evans, his brother, Kevin Holmes and his sister, Sharon Holmes. Survivors are his daughter, Pamela (Bruce) Alston; brother, Marcus (Gloria) Evans; grandchildren, Brandon (Quinteria) Alston, Steven (Stephanie) Alston; great grandchildren, Zoe Alston and Lyla Alston; goddaughter, Mariah Evans; nieces, nephews and other relatives.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
