Mr. John L. Newman entered into rest on Wednesday, February 6, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. He was preceded in death by this mother, Rosa Lee Williams of Augusta, GA and his father, Henry Newman Jr. of Augusta, GA. John is survived and will be missed by his loving wife, Vienna, of 18 years, whom he adorably called Boo-Boo; children, Sandra Jeanine O'Connell of Irvine, CA, John L. Newman Jr. (Rose) of Menifee, CA, Keeling Eugene Newman of Sharon, PA, Jenne Johnson (Elvin) of Miami, FL, Dale Newman of Miami, FL, Oneisha Newman of Augusta, GA; siblings, Mary Anderson of Syracuse, NY, John Henry Newman of Syracuse, NY, and Thomas Newman (Melvine) of Augusta, GA; his brothers-in-law, Vincent Bolds of Bronx, NY, David Hillard (LaTia) of Charlotte, NC, and Shawn Watson of Jamul, CA; sisters-in law, Julia Hillard (Joe) of Brooklyn, NY and Catherine Scurry of Hephzibah; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
