Mr. Lewis Avery Sr. entered into rest on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Mount Enon Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea (Pamela) Avery. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, wife Bettye Burgess Avery  Martinez, GA; son, Lewis Avery Jr. (Ann)  Evans, GA; daughter Phyllis Hill  Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Sonya McLaughlin (Travis)  Augusta, GA; LaCrecia Richardson (Khary)  Summerville, SC; Destiny Dunn  Evans, GA; Falin Hill  Charleston, SC;  Joni Alston (Richard)  Summerville, SC; Lucas Benning  Evans, GA; niece Annie Lou Crawford (Lee)  Augusta, GA; nephew George Jeburk (Delta)  McDonough, GA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.
