Mrs. Mary Ann Golphin Hunt was born on November 4,1950 to the late Joseph and Mary Golphin of Burke County, Georgia. She departed this life on December 22, 2024 and is survived by her husband of 25 years, Willie Frank Hunt of Dearing, GA. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2024 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Baptist Church, Girard, GA. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hunt would like to be remembered for being the rock of her family and not by the sadness of her passing. Baking cookies to share with others was one of her favorite things to do as she lived by the slogan, "it's better to give than to receive. Mary "Honey" was preceded in death by a son, Kelby Davis; sisters, Josephine Golphin, Lizzie Burton, Catherine Burton, & Bernice Moody; brothers, Wonzie Golphin, Prince Golphin, & Noah Golphin. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, a devoted husband, Willie Hunt; daughters, Karin Davis, LeeChonna Davis-Woods & Sheba Crosby-Boston; sisters, Lena Anderson and Eugenia Ferguson; brothers, David Golphin and James Golphin; four grandchildren, Lyria, Cannon, DaRon, & Tayshawn as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
