Mrs. Mary Upton entered into rest on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11 a.m. at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. Mary Upton is lovingly survived by her two sons: Chester Upton III (Denise) of Gordon, GA, and Charles Upton (Itaiyah) of Tennessee; three daughters: Charlotte Fields (Gregory), Melissa Hinkle (Kenneth), and Sharon Upton, all of Augusta, GA; three sisters: Lavern Lewis (Frank), Betty Brown, and Doris (the late Millard) Birt; grandchildren: Vince Whipple Jr. (Kendra), Chester Upton, IV., J. Charmese Thomas (Jeffery), Brian Davis, Jr. (Kourtney), Ebony Upton, Jamal Hinkle, Jibril Upton, Destiny Fields, Charles Upton Jr.; great-grandchildren: Jayden Whipple, Ariel Thomas, Braelyn Davis, Jalonni, Karson, Seriya, and Trayvion. S godchildren; Calvin Wilcher, Anthony Wilcher, Patrick Wilcher, Tony Wilcher and Chiquita Geter; and a host of extended family members and friends who will forever treasure her memory. Mrs. Upton may be viewed on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
