Ms. Morrell D. Abney entered into rest on Tuesday, August 18, 2026. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Maurice Flournoy. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Montel Abney; mother, Mozella Flournoy; brother, Vernon Abney; aunts, Willie "Jeanette" Miller, Eva Martin, Annie E. Harris, Mary Wilson; cousin who is like a sister, Fontel Norman and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be a viewing on Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
