George James Curry of Augusta, Georgia, was born on April 24, 1948. A proud graduate of T.W. Josey High School, Class of 1967, George was known for his steady presence, strong work ethic, and deep love for his family. He was married to Rosa Mae Scurry with whom he shared a life built on love and commitment, and out of this union came two beautiful daughters. He dedicated thirty-nine and a half years to the Pepsi Company as a forklift driver; faithfully providing for those he loved. Whether walking along Bobby Jones Expressway or Wrightsboro Road, John remained a quiet, familiar figure in his community: humble, dependable, and decent. Jefferson; grandsons, Gregory Derrico II and Gregory Derrico III; granddaughters, Rochelle Makayla Jones, JaNiya Marie Jones; sisters, Wynona Ball of Augusta, Georgia; son-in-law, Henry Jones of Augusta, Georgia; aunts, Carrie Lue Douglas of Augusta, Georgia and Mary Jane Scurry of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
