Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Historic Springfield Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Walker Memorial Park. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dr. Deborah Wright-Austin; parents, Douglas and Hattie Mae Austin; brothers, George Bernard Austin, Trezevant Raymond Austin; sister, Constance Elizabeth Austin; brother-in-law, William Albright; sister-in-law, Virginia Marian Wright. He is survived by his daughter, Allicent (Damien) Pruiett; two precious granddaughters, Alaina and Alexia Pruiett; one sister, Anita (Thomas) Price; two devoted godchildren, Marquis Hardy and Kenesha Reddick; three sisters-in-law, Thomasina Albright, Jacqueline (Charles) Habersham, Charlene (Anthony) Wilkins; three brothers-in-law, Walter (Andrea) Wright Jr., Roosevelt (Doris) Johnson, Freeman (Cheryl) Johnson and host of relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
