SFC (Ret.) Joseph Paul Lewis entered into rest on Saturday, February 14, 2026. Funeral service will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, at B.A. Williams Memorial Chapel at 12:00 noon. Interment will be held at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at a later date. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Octavia Lewis; sisters, Carrie Mae Bell, Bonnie Jean Walker, Wally Yvonne Butler, Shirley Mae Thompson and Gloria Ann Fleming; brothers, Delbert Lewis, Cecil Lewis and Douglas Lewis all of South Bend, Ind.; He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 35 years, Judy Lewis;  daughters, Elena Lewis-Suber, Mirhonda Davis, Felicia Hill, Forgenna Harris; sons, Darryl Hill, Jarquavian Isreal; brothers, Therone Lewis, Clyde Lewis; three grandchildren, Jocelyn (Terrance) Darden, Victoria (Pierce) McDonald, Miah Lewis-Kelly; two great grandchildren, Baileigh Barbour, Phoenix McDonald and a host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mr. Lewis may be viewed Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
