On Thursday, February 6, 2025, SFC / E7 (Ret.) Elvin A. Sparrow passed away at age 89. Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12 noon at B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Elvin was born on January 6, 1936 in Latta, South Carolina. He was the loving son of Robert and Cassie Jane Sparrow. He leaves to cherish his memory six children: Evelyn Williams of Augusta, GA, Rhoda (Michael) Eberhart of Savannah, GA, Joyce Jones of Augusta, GA, Ralph (Shana) Sparrow of Savannah GA, Deborah (Clifford) Collier of Augusta, GA, and Angela Dorsey of Savannah, GA; his former wife, Mary; four sisters: Clara Hall, Elizabeth Lois Clark, Betty Barbara (Clifford) Curtis, and Lucinda (Joseph) Floyd; three brothers: William Clark Jr., Billy (Mary) Clark, John (Dottie) Clark; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
