A Williams Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. He is preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Thomas, mother, Eula Lee Bynum and four brothers. He is survived by his loving wife and high school sweetheart, Beverlyn Thomas; children, Kimberly Thomas, Dedra Thomas, John L. (Micaela) Thomas II, Tanisha (Marvin) Phillips; grandchildren, Deznee Thomas, Ayanna Goodwin, Johan Onumonu and Noelle Phillips; sisters, Eulia Mae (Billy) Roberson, Ethelrene Hargett, Lorene (Herman) Williams, Gloria Roundtree, Barbara (Eddie) Roundtree; sisters -in-law, Evelyn Fields-Earls, Gale (Charlie) Snell; brother-in-law, Robert Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
