Mrs. Shirley A. McGill entered into rest on Friday, January 31, 2025. Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. at. B. A. Williams Memorial Chapel. Mrs. McGill was a 1971 graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School and was retired from Kendall. She gave herself to Christ at Greater Young Zion Baptist Church and was an active member of New Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church. Preceding her in death were her husband, William Lester McGill, mother, Mary Inez Anderson, father, Cecil L. Anderson, brother, Bernard Anderson and sister, Paulene Anderson. Survivors are her daughters, Angela (Winston) Greenidge, Kaila McGill; grandchildren, Zoie K. Greenidge, Ja'Haia A. Shorts, Bryant Tucker; brother, Lugene Anderson Sr.; great uncle, Deacon Harry (Margaret) Newman; goddaughter, Starlesha Tucker; sister-in-law, Cassandra Anderson; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
