Augusta, GA -- Mrs. Shirley B. Samuels of Hunter Street entered into rest on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at University Hospital . Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 ar 2 p.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Sam Davis officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Garden . Mrs. Samuels was a 1949 graduate of Haines Normal and Industrial Institute and a 1952 graduate of Lamar University Hospital School of Nursing. After many years of service as a registered nurse, she retired from Gracewood State School and Hospital. She was also a member of Beulah Grove Baptist Church . Survivors are her husband, Joseph Samuels; two sons, Robert (Vernell) Samuels, Augusta, Joseph Michael (Carolyn) Samuels, Dallas, TX; one sister, Mary Stoney, Augusta; seven grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
