Mr. Thomas A. Shakur III entered into rest on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, at B.A. Williams Memorial Chapel at 2:00 p.m. He is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Brown Jr.; aunts, Daisy Dixon, Elsie Butler; uncles, Starvester Brown, Eugene Brown, and John Walter Brown. He leaves to celebrate his home-going and to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Cheryl Shakur; his mother, Ether Mckelvin (Johnny); three loving daughters, Jessica R. Brown, Dyshonn Simms, and Kimora Ann Shakur; three sons, Kimani Shakur, Thomas Shakur IV, Thamir Shakur, and Kyrell Clark; nine grandchildren, Wynter Brown, Summer Jones, Josai Jones, Shakura Grifith, Harmoni Couch, Ay'va Simms, Dayonna Davis, Kyrell Clark Jr. Sophia Seguinot; three sisters, Ethel Brown (Andre), Jeralene Brown-Johnson (Johnny), Jillian Brown; two brothers, Sir Ovynten Rivera (Marquavious), Carlos Brown; four aunts, Sadie Seals, Lillian Rogers, Dorothy Suggs, Delois Jefferson (Fredrick); one special cousin, Traveras Suggs (Bird); God sister, Latoya Tisslin; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Shakur may be viewed Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
