Willie Warren Moss, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on August 8, 2025. He was born on May 10,1944 to the late Tom and Mary Helen Moss in Hephzibah, GA. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Beulah Grove Baptist Church. Willie was a proud Vietnam veteran who honorably served his country and was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery. After his military service, he worked at the Kaolin Clay Mine for many years before retiring from Thermal Ceramics after 16 years of dedicated service. Known for his unwavering love for God, his wife, and his children, Willie lived a life centered on faith, family, and friendship. He enjoyed fishing—especially with his brother-in-law William and friends—playing cards, cooking on the grill, and fixing things around the house and yard. He was a man who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Willie's joys were simple but full: fishing on the "fish creek", riding in his truck he lovingly called "The Dog," smoking a Cool from time to time, playing the lotto, sipping on a Big Red, and making memories with the people he loved most. He will be remembered as an amazing father, a devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a man with a heart of gold. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his loved ones, and his legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on in all who knew him. Willie is preceded in death by his sons, Willie Moss Jr. and Willie Coleman. He is survived by his loving devoted wife, Leora Moss; his children, Tiffany (Kwovadus) Ford, Theresa Cooper, Mykayla Williamson, Gonzalee (Tyrica) Jones, Troy (Ludy) Moss, Keith Eric Moss, Taron Brown; daughter in heart, Pamela (Willie) Sturgis; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
